Merry Christmas Morning!!!

So I know Christmas has been over for weeks but I promise this is the last post!!! Christmas morning was a blast!!! Santa thinking very highly of himself, was pretty sure he aced this years Christmas!! Will see by the kids reactions? Our family got a Nintendo Wii which as you can tell was a big hit!! And we love it, the girls played it nonstop for 2 days!! Now it is our favorite past time to do with the kids! It gets us off the couch and we are spending lots of time laughing and having fun!!
My little teenager was able to get what she asked for an "American Girl Doll" !! The one she got was named Kit and she hasn't put her down for three weeks now. She loves to change her clothes. She puts her pjs on when it is time for bed and gets her dressed in her fancy dress when it is time for church. Way to go Santa!! She also loved spending Christmas with her cousin Trey!

My little bugs first Christmas!!! After 4 children, I decided that letting her sleep in was a-okay with me. So she didn't get to open her gifts until about 11 am that morning. After she was fed so she was ready to experience something new. She only had about 4 gifts to open and one would have been plenty. Actually, all she needed was the paper and she was all smiles. Because that was all she was interested in. I don't think she paid any attention to her toys.

She did love her present from Grama!! A baby as big as her that felt like a really soft pillow!!!
My little boss loved her Christmas!!! She asked Santa for a Mrs Goodbee's talking house and that is what she got. And some of the stuff that went with it. She was so excited!!! She also got a little horse that she could ride on just like her big sis. Santa hit the jackpot on this kid!!

Here she is practicing her photography with her new Cinderella camera. Say Cheese!!! She always tells me how to pose and how to smile. She has been paying attention to mom all these years.
Last but not least, my little sweetie got was she has been wanting for 3 years!!! Smores the fur real horse!!! Santa splurged on this one. She also got some other horse stuff and what every cowgirl needs...................cowgirl boots!!! This kid loves horses!!! She will someday be our next rodeo queen.

But I have to say, it is not always good giving your children what they ask for for Christmas!! I was watching a program of new years resolutions for kids and it said to "Deny your Children"!!
What? We need to not give them everything they want so they can feel the feeling of disappointment. Well, I feel like I do that!! I don't give them everything they ask for, except when it comes to Christmas. I feel like because of Jolly old Saint Nick, I feel like I need to give them what they ask for. What parent hasn't gone to the store at the last minute when one of our children change their minds. Well, if you are wondering why I am rambling....Smores is since been taken back to the store!! When we got home my little sweetie only played with it maybe once!! What? That is not the kind of expense you want to be played with only once!!! After 3 years of asking for it, it wasn't that great after all. Deny, Deny, Deny!!!

Christmas Eve!!!

Christmas Eve day was just like everyone else's I am sure!!! The kids were bouncing off the walls with excitement, asking every 10 minutes "Can we open just one present today?". Trying to plan enough stuff to keep them busy all day!! Crazy!!! We made cookies for Santa, we had a big Christmas party with everyone there and ate Mexican food!!! After dinner the kids went caroling with grama to some cute little old people that live on her street. After they came back we had there gift exchange which was hilarious. I will tell about that in minute. Then Grama sent them on a scavenger hunt to find their Christmas eve pjs. It was a lot of fun, but the little ones were getting upset because they were getting left behind. We only went up and down the stairs at least 10 times!! But they loved it!! After they got their jammies on we read the Christmas story and let them act out the parts. Here is a picture of our Nativity!! We wanted to try and bring the real meaning of Christmas into our day!! Then off to bed they went............yea right!! Everyone can't wait for SANTA!!!
Here is our beautiful Mary, holding on to a crazy haired baby Jesus!! It was the only baby we could find. I told them to act out there part when I read about them in the story and my little sweetie did a very good job being so humble and loving. With a big thanks to big sis who gave up her part as Mary so you know who wouldn't be upset!! What a good big sister!!!
My little bug was just happy to be there and trying to keep up with all the commotion around her!!
This is a picture of our gift exchange that I was talking about. Grama read a story and every time she said "left" or "right" the kids had to pass the present in that direction!!! Well considering that most of the kids were 5 and under, needless to say they didn't know which way was right or left. So they kept getting mixed up!! For the first part of the story, they were laughing and having a great time and by the end all the little ones were getting mad because they just wanted to open a present already!!! So Grama had to cut the story down and they finally got to open their gift.

This was how excited my teenager was about her gift.................... a Cinderella Polly pocket!!! YEA! All is well, she traded with her younger sister who was thrilled with Cinderella!!!

Non-moving stage is officially over!!

So my little bug finally decided to start Crawling!!
Two days before Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that I was so anxious for her to start crawling and now I am trying to figure out why!! Holy cow!! She is into everything!! And once she started there was no holding her back! I don't know what got into her. She just decided to be big all of the sudden. She crawled and started holding her own bottle (ridiculous I know.....but she refused to hold it) all at once. Plus, she got her two bottom teeth in and now we are starting on the top two. Needless to say my life has totally changed. I can't just sit her down and know she will be there when I get back. Now I walk out of the room and when I come back I say "Where'd she go?" She loves the stairs...that is the first thing she went to. So we had to buy a gate before we came home from Christmas. She also loves the rock fire place.....you know all those fun places that if she falls, she will get seriously hurt. I know I am now just starting the phase of bruises and goose-eggs!! With all that said, she loves, loves, loves her freedom!!! She is a much happier baby now that she knows she can go where she wants to go. My video is a little dark, sorry!! Try to ignore the excited 3 year old that keeps running in front of the camera.

Christmas Cookies!!

This is the first of many posts to come about our Awesome Christmas at Grandmas!!! On Christmas eve we made our annual Christmas sugar cookies for Santa!!! A lot of mess and a lot of FUN!!! This year we got to do it with our two favorite cousins!!! We made the dough....some of it colored red, yellow, and green, we cut it out into our favorite shapes, we ate a lot of it, and licked a lot of frosting and in the end we had perfect cookies to leave for SANTA!!! Santa agreed too!! Awesome cookies!!! As my little boss would say "What a MESS!!"

Patty Cake

Here's my little bug showing off her patty cake skills. Which are really outstanding when she is not distracted by her sister. Don't mind my singing in the back ground or my little sweetie trying to get her sister's attention!!! My little bug loves to clap her hands, and wave bye bye. We are working on peek a boo and blowing kisses. And no she is still not crawling yet!!!

A HA Moment!!

So I have to say I have had my moment!!!
With grocery smarts that is. I have some
friends that introduced me to grocery smarts
and the huge savings that they have had. I
am talking like hundreds of dollars in savings
on their groceries. And before, they would tell
me and I would be thinking in my head.......
"Yea right!!! Whatever" Until this week!!! Not
that I want to brag, but I saved like $236
dollars this week on my shopping! Wahooo!!!
Maybe I will be able to build up my food
storage after all. Anyway, needless to say I
am not sceptical anymore!!! And I am
addicted! I have been to Albertsons 3 days in
row this week and I can't wait to go shopping
next week!!!!! Thanks to all my friends who
have been good examples and put up with my
whatever looks!!! I am not a grocery smarts
flunky anymore.

Gettin Old!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!
It is possible to stop having birthdays?
I would have stopped three years ago.
This week I had the great experience
of turning 33!!!! Holy cow!!! My sister
thinks I'm old. My body feels old too,
overweight, aches and pains,.......but
I mentally I don't feel old!!! Since
when do your birthdays have to stop
being fun? I don't know if it is a rule
that when you get older your birthdays
turn into just another day! It was just
another day but I did love spending time
with my kids and my awesome hubby
who for those who don't know......also
shares my same birthday!!! We
celebrated by going out to dinner to
my favorite restaurant. Thanks to all you
helped make my day a good one by
wishing me a Happy Birthday. I have
decided that I am going to start
having a half Birthday though. My whole
life I shared a birthday with my sister,
whose birthday is the day after mine. Then
I had to go a marry a wonderful man with
the same birthday. I still remember the
day we were talking on the phone and he
asked me when my birthday was and I

said "December 9th".......dead silence on
the other end. Then he said, "No it isn't"!!
Which I thought....why not!!! Then he said
"That is my birthday". Then I said,"No
it is not.......Let me see your drivers license"

So I continue to share my birthday, which
has its pros and cons. One pro is my

husband will never forget my birthday!!!

All I want for Christmas!!!

All I want for Christmas is my two front
teeth... That is want mommy wants too.
Holy cow, this little bug is miserable. Her
two bottom teeth are coming in together
and it seems like it has taken them over a
month. We are still waiting for them to break
through the skin, and going crazy while we
are waiting. She is so crabby!!!! Her nose is
just a runnin, she has got a cough from the

runny nose, and of course she can't sleep
with all that going on. She is still pretty cute
though!!! I am happy to report at almost 10
months that she is almost crawling. She gets
on her hands and knees and rocks back and
forth, she just doesn't have the motion yet. I
thought she would be trying to catch up with
her sisters, but she just sits back and whines
and her sisters take her everywhere. Maybe
by the time she is 1 she will be crawling!! She
is a litte lazy and ALOT spoiled. (sorry about
the red eye in the last picture, but it was too
cute to leave off)

Daxton's Box

Check out this blog.. I was doing some
blogging one night and I came across this
blog, it will definitely pull at your heart
strings!!! I read for nearly an hour and
sobbed the whole time. I want to make it a
link on my blog so whenever I am feeling
low and my kids are driving me crazy. I can
read this blog and remember all of the
blessings that I have.
The mother is amazing!! I admire her strength
and her strong testimony. She also has so
much good advice on how to go through life.
If you are looking for a way to make a
difference or donate this season, in the sidebar
of dbkunz.blogspot.com there is a list of things
that you can donate or you can give a money
donation to help those who go through the loss
that this mother and others like her have had
to go through.

Weekend Away

After the tree and all the decorations were
up like I promised the girls, the next day
I took off and went to my moms. I left
here at 12:00 pm and didn't get there until
4:00. I spent the night and got up and
came home the next day. It was a really
fast trip, but it was nice to get away and
take a break from being "mommy"!!! I
always enjoy spending time with my mom
and this time I got to have her all to my-
self. We usually stay up and talk to all
hours of the night, just like school girls.
I am so glad to have a relationship with
my mom like that. Thanks for the week-
end away honey!!! It felt great!

Puttin up the Tree

It is about time for a new post don't you
think!!! We finally got our tree up last
weekend. The girls were bugging me like
crazy, so Friday after school we got to work.
I love Christmas and I love my house when
it is decorated, but I hate the process.
Putting the tree up kills me!!! I apologized to
my kids before we even started, so they
would know that when I got frustrated it
wasn't because of them. I have one of those
trees that you have to fluff each branch and
put them in one by one.!! AHHHHH!!! It
drives me crazy, plus I am a perfectionist and
so the lights all have to be in the right place
and the ornaments in a certain order and
formation!!! Crazy I know, but that is the
reason setting up the tree makes me so
crazy! I will have to say that this year wasn't
so bad. I am surprised we even got it right
with following the directions from a 3 yr old.
And speaking of "fluffing", it was hilarious!!!
We told the little boss that we had to fluff the
branches before we put them on the tree, so
she grabbed a branch and squatted down and
made a lovely "fluffing" sound!!! Then she
handed it to me and said "Here, I fluffed it"
We all died laughing!!! My little bug even got
to participate!!! She didn't like touching the
tree so much but she did love dancing to the
Christmas music. She had to go to bed before
we got it all done, but she still had a lot of
fun. We started setting up the tree at 6:00pm
and we got done at 9:00 with a break in the
middle to eat some pizza and take a bath. We
all had a fun time. Here is a picture of the
girls before we started putting on the
ornaments.

For SALE!!!!

It is official!!!! We put the house up for Sale!!! I figured I
would put it on the blog so I can answer all the questions
at once......
Why? We are doing what we think is best for our family
right now. There is a possibility that my hubby will have
the opportunity for a promotion, which is wonderful......
but it will take him out on business trips a lot more
frequently. Even though I enjoy him being gone (ha ha we
all know that is not true), I told him that if he takes the
promotion I would like him to move me closer to my family.
It is too hard to be a single mom (somewhat) without any
help. Also, another reason is we have been taught a lot
lately in our ward and by our Prophet to be more provident
livers!!! This is our way to try to follow that counsel.

Where? We don't really know right now. We may stay here,
or we may be moving down south. It depends on what
my hubby decides to do with his job.

When? Who knows.............at the rate houses are selling up
here we may be here for a very long time. But if it is meant
to be it will happen.

We love it up here. I have lived here for 8 years now and I
will say that where we live it is a hard place to fit in. That is
my opinion and maybe it is me. It just seems like if you don't
have any family connections here then you are not accepted
very well. Granted it has gotten way better since we moved
in 8 years ago, but I still feel a little of that. I would love to
feel like it is home, but for me....I am not there yet. If we
end up staying I hope eventually I will feel that way. As for
the prearranged marriages that I have set up with Kendra
(Kolby & Karli) and Azuree (Jaron & Makena) in all fairness
if we move away I guess we will have to call those off. That
is a joke!!! Long distance relationships can work, right!!!!!
I know we are crazy!!!! I can't even think about packing up
another box!!!! But we will see what happens!

Gobble, Gobble......

We had a great Thanksgiving!!!! We spent it with the in-laws
in Wyoming!!! My little bug got to meet her Grama and pa
for the very first time!! She actually did pretty good with
them. Not too scared!!! Anyway, we spent three days with
Connie and we had great time. Great food, great family, and
lots of games and fun. The drive to Wyoming is always fun
too...(ha ha) we made the drive and 5 1/2 hrs. Which is
pretty good, but for four little ones and a mom that hates to
travel it was very long. Every hour we got to hear from one
of the girls "are we there yet?" But after we got there all
was forgotten!!! We drove their on Wednesday, we ate all
day on Thursday and all the kids got to play with all their
cousins, then we did a little shopping on black Friday, and
spur of the moment came home late on Friday night. That
drive was so much better!!! We still did it in 5 1/2 hours
but the difference was two of my girls slept almost the
whole way. I used to think that people were crazy driving
that late..........but not anymore. They had it all figured out!!!
My little boss and her new friend (cousin). They had so
much fun playing with each other!!!

Friday we went for a walk around the state park. The girls
had so much fun. We went on a swinging bridge and got to
touch the warm mineral water!!!

I just want to take a minute and tell you all the things I am
grateful for!!! It is pretty sad that sometimes takes a
Holiday made for for being thankful to make us think about
it. I am so thankful for my family!!! They are so important
to me. I am thankful for all our good health!! There are
some families that have to go through lots of trials with
that. I am grateful we are all strong and healthy. I am
thankful for a great husband who takes care and loves us.
He is a hard worker and I appreciate all he does for us.
I am grateful for the gospel and for the happiness it brings
to our lives if we live the way we should. I am thankful for
the freedoms that we have. It seems like with the past
election that everyone is a little uneasy about how things
are going to go especially with how the economy is.....but
we should all be thankful for those freedoms that we take
for granted.

Trip to Grandma's

So I forgot my camera again!!!! I love to post pictures!!
Anyway, we just got back from visiting Grandma. It
was a fast weekend trip but everyone had lots of fun.
Good food, no sleep, and great fun!!!!
We went down there because my friend was having a
boutique so I thought what the heck, I will make some
stuff and take it down there. So I spent several late
nights trying to get everything ready and money that
I don't have in hope that something good would come
out of it. Well, I have to to say............I did it and I
probably won't do it again. I had fun but I haven't
even covered my cost. Bummer!!! But at least I sold
some stuff!!! While I was boutiquing, my girls went
with their cousin to see Santa and they won some webkins!!
I guess they are all the rave now!!! They had a blast!!!

Power Outage!!!

I am so sad I did not grab my camera last night!!!
For some reason the power went out last night at
about 8:00 pm. Go figure.....there was no rain, no
wind, not snow...what the!!! It must be because of
where we live. All it takes is for someone to sneeze
and the power goes out!!!

Anyway, so I was just finishing up getting the girls
showered. Everyone was done except for my little
boss. When all the sudden the lights go out!!! It
was pitch black. I am not kidding. You couldn't
even see one thing. There was one girl in the play-
room, one in the hall, one in the shower, and luckily
my little bug was with her dad. All of them had one
thing in common at that very moment.........blood
curdling screams!!!! It was chaos!!! We hurried and
finished the shower and I went to get a flash light,
hoping that it actually worked. The girls like to play
with them. So I found ONE!!!! ONLY ONE!!!! That
worked. All the girls were huddled around freaking
out. So what did we do..................jumped in the car
and drove around with the DVD player on. Like we
can't survive one night without the TV. That really
wasn't the case......the girls were so upset that was
the only way we could calm them down. We drove
around for awhile to settle them down and then went
back to the house. My sweet hubby went down stairs
and rummaged through all the camping stuff and
found three more flashlights and some other batteries.
Whaooooo Dad!!!!! Then we tried to get them to
go to bed, which turned out a lot easier then I thought.
We just had to leave a flashlight on in each room!!!
After the kids were in bed it was 9:00 pm and then
what was I going to do!!! I never, never, never go to
bed that early.. It was like torture. It ended up being
a fun experience, but I did learn that I need to be a
bit more prepared when little things like that happen.
I am just glad daddy was home to help us get through
it.

I love Massages!!!

So this weekend I got to pamper myself a little.
My hubby gave me a gift certificate for x-mas last
year that I haven't been able to use yet. I can't
believe it has almost been a year and that thing
has been in my drawer. Plus I had one that had
expired that they let me use, so I went to the
spa and had massage and a pedicure. It was
heaven. I didn't want to leave.........I wanted to
stay in there all day. I didn't even know how
to act......a whole 2 1/2 hours to myself for total
relaxation. Then reality struck when I walked
back in the house!!! I love, love, love being a mom
but it is nice to have some time to yourself every
now and then. Thanks Honey, for the break!!!

School Lunch!

On Friday I got to to eat school lunch with my
girls. It is so much fun!!!! It is a lot more fun
when you pack your own lunch from home and
go. Don't get me wrong..I love those hot school
lunch rolls and all the fun desserts they have.
But it pretty much stops there. I feel the same
way about school lunch now as I did when I was
growing up. Enough about the food. The
company is much better, I love to see my girls
faces when they see me and they aren't even
embarrassed of me yet. ( I know that is coming)
I even got to eat with both of them, but one at a
time which makes them feel even more special.
I look forward to doing that more often!!!

Life is Slowing.........

Our life has been slowing down a bit I guess. I haven't
had anything exciting to post lately. I don't know if
that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Lately, both of my sisters have had some situations
with their kids getting in trouble. Knock on wood, I have
not had that happen to me yet. With my two older
girls I don't see them getting in trouble, but there will
always be drama. Which usually is associated with a lot
of whining and crying. Even my little boss at three years
of age is a little drama queen. She got to take that snack
to preschool today, which she was so excited about. She
insisted on taking fruit snacks...ones for boys and ones
of girls. Well, after class was over she figured she got
to take the snack box home again. The teacher
explained to her that it was someone else's turn and she
cried with big tears rolling down her face for 15 minutes.
Because she wanted the to bring the box home again.
Like I said drama, drama, drama!!!!

After I explained to her that she would get to do it lots of
times, but she just had to take turns then she was fine.
Then I looked at her papers and she had done a picture
of "Humpty Dumpty" on the wall, and I asked her who
it was and she said "Honky Donkey". Which made me
LOL!!!!! She is a drama queen, but she is cute!!!

My Girls

I have been thinking a lot about my kids this week
and how much they mean to me. I have a friend who
had a death in her family of a brand new 2 month old
baby. Ever since I have been thinking about all of the
little things I take for granted every day and just how
fast it can be taken away. Not that I want to dwell on
that, I just don't want to go through life in such a hurry
that I miss all those little things. Like my little boss
saying to me every morning "Good morning mommy",
or my little teenager saying " You are such a great
mom", or my little sweetie saying "Can I have a
bednight snack", or my little bug just giving me her
excited face when she sees me walk in the room. Those
are just some of the examples. I love my kids so much
and I don't know what I would do without them. Like
all moms do, I have my days but if I try to step back
on those days and look at the big picture, then
everything seems to go a lot better.

My favorite things about my little Teenager.....................
She is one of the kindest little girls you will ever meet.
She is always trying to make everyone feel good, wanted
and appreciated. She always tells me thanks for the
things that I do for her. She always tells me "Thanks for
being a great mom". (Even on the days that I have gotten
after them). She is an awesome big sister!!!! She is so
helpful to me for that reason. She is always creating things
that they can do together. She is so artistic. She loves to
draw, paint, and even write stories. Her new love is to
read!!! Especially when it is a book she likes. She can sit
down and read for a whole hour just in her room. She is
a good example for all of us when it comes to doing the
right thing. She helps us remember to have Family Night,
read scriptures, go to church, etc. I am so happy to have
her in our family.

My favorite things about my little Sweetie.........................
She is so adventurous and energetic. She is always going,
going, going. She loves life and always has such a positive
outlook. She is so sensitive and caring. She is always trying
to make us happy. She loves school and works hard. She
is so well liked at school, because she is so accepting and
nice to others. One day I picked her up from her class and
before we could get 10 steps from her door, she hugged at
least 4 people to tell them goodbye. She is one of my best
eaters. She LOVES fruit!!! She would pick fruit over any
candy. She likes veggies and will try new things. My
favorite thing that she says right now is "Can i have a
bednight snack" I don't know what I would do without
her.

My Favorite things about my little Boss..........................
She is the sweetest little thing when you can get past her
fits. She is so polite for her age. She always says Thank you,
please, excuse me, or sorry without even being prompted.
She loves her sisters.....she can't wait until they get home
after school. I love the way she tries to be big like them. I
love that she will come and give me a kiss out of the blue or
say "I love you mommy". I love when she smiles big or
giggles that she scrunches up her nose. I love her desire for
learning. She knows all her colors, and shapes, a pretty much
all her letters. I love that she can entertain herself. She can
play with something on her own for hours. She loves books
and could also look at them for hours. My favorite things
that she says are "be end", "can I have a snack"(5 minutes
after a meal), when I ask her to go to the bathroom she says
"its not going right now". I love that little girl.

My favorite things about my little Bug...........................
She is a mommy's girl. She lights up whenever she sees me.
She loves her sisters and playing with them. She loves her
blanket and has to snuggle up to it every time that it is close
to her and she lover her binky now. I love to hear her little
giggle. I love it when I feed her something she likes she says
"mmmmmm" in between bites. She loves to cuddle and give
hugs and kisses. I love them even when they are slobbery.
She loves to pull on my earrings and eat my necklaces and
TRY to get my glasses. She loves to jump in her little
jumperoo and she can jump let me tell ya. Sometimes I think
she is going to hurt herself. My favorite time with her is
when she cuddles right before bed and falls asleep on my
shoulder. She is a hard baby, but I don't regret any minute
I spend with her.

I'm jumping on too!!!

I have been trying to decide whether to keep my
blog or not. I am a Nervous Nellie and when I saw
the report on blogging on the news it kind of got
me wondering. I love to blog, I think it is fun, and
since we live so far away I love to let you all know
what we are doing, but I don't want to jeopardize
my kids safety just for that. So for now I am just
going to make a few changes until I decide what to
do. I am going to change our link also. So I will
be sending out emails to let you know what it is
going to be so you can change it on your end.

fun to get comments!!!! Then I feel like I am not
writing just to myself.. So PLEASE if you are
reading this blog and do often....then please comment!
It is way more fun when you do.. Don't make me name
names!!!! (J/K sort of)

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!!! We had a fun filled day of candy and
more candy. The girls had the day off of school so we tried
to keep them busy doing Halloween word searches, mazes,
crosswords, and crafts. Then in the afternoon we went and
did our business trick or treating. Most of the businesses
participate so the whole town is seen walking all over the
streets in their costumes. It is really fun, because you get
to see everyone all at the same time. We did that for about
2 hours then we came home to take a break and eat some
dinner..........before they got filled up on candy. Then we
went back out for about an hour in our new neighborhood
and in the old one. And by then the girls were done. No
complaining from ME!!! Speaking of me..................I even
dressed up this year. I borrowed some witch stuff from
one of my young women girls so I could match my girls.
Everyone called us the witch family!!!! (because of a little
coaxing from me in choosing their costumes.) Anyway,
we had a lot of fun!!! Until next year!!!

Makena's 1st day of Preschool

Okay so I broke down and decided to let Kena go to
preschool!!! I couldn't take her crying anymore about
her not being able to go to school with her sisters.
Every time I take the girls to school she would just cry
and cry and want to go with them. So today was her
first day of preschool. A pretty fun day to start.......
they got to dress up in their costumes and they had
a Halloween party. The preschool is taught by our
Primary President and she lives in our old house.
It feels pretty weird to go in their now!! She has
changed a lot of it, especially all the girly girl stuff since
she has 3 boys. Anyway, Makena should have fun!!!
There are two girls in her class that she knows pretty
well. One is in our ward and the other is going to live
across the street from us.....her name is Ellie. Maybe
that is why Makena decided she didn't want that name
anymore. I am kind of sad about her going, because
we were having so much fun. But I still plan on doing
things with her on the other days she is home.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins for family night on Monday!!!
You gotta love pumpkin guts!!!!! We usually use spoons to
dig out the oooy, gooy, yucky stuff, but the girls wanted to
dig right in. Shelby thought it was disgusting, Lexi loved it,
Makena didn't want to touch it, and Karli wanted to eat it!!
This is always one of my girls favorite things to do!!

As you can tell by the look of Makena's face.......she did
not like it one bit. I made her do it for a picture. She does
not like anything messy on her hands ever. Paint, food,
you name it, she doesn't like it. Karli had fun with the
pumpkins too. She is so strong she kept pulling of the top.
So I took it off after she got it in the face a couple of times.
She must of thought that pumpkin is good because she kept
sucking on the pumpkin and trying to eat it. YUMMY!!!

In the end...........Lexi had a scary face, Shelby did a bat,
Karli had a goofy face, and Makena made a kitty face with
this little light bright things she had to hammer in. She
thought that was pretty cool. She was so serious about her
work.
