ER....

Remember the post about the Ambulance!!  I didn't need an ambulance because my hubby was home but I did need the ER! I am really going to put myself out there on this post! Be gentle!

I have been so obsessed about my weight lately. Maybe because I have gained quite a bit of weight in the last two years.  The summer we moved to St. George I lost about 30 lbs and loved it.  Since then it has been an uphill battle.  Which I have attributed to stress and the fact that I have horrible knees which limits me to what exercise I can do.  So with my own feelings about myself coupled with the sweet little innocent comments that my girly girls make.....i am obsessed about getting the weight back off.  Even so much to try diet pills that shouldn't be tried.   I don't know if any of you ever taken Hydroxycut.....if not... don't!

I planned the week...I am ready to go...all Gongho!!  Sound familiar.  Took hydroxycut with each of my so healthy planned out meals.  I am so excited at the end of the day...everything went great.  I exercised and ate great.  Check off day one!  Wait!!!  Not until after a trip to the ER.  I got ready for bed and my body started burning again...way worse than before.  The first time it came and went and this time it was constant.  Then I started shaking...not like I am cold shaking....like uncontrollable shaking. Then I started with the crazy.  Bob called the emergency room and they told us to call poison control.  Bob relayed my symptoms to them and they said they were worried about me having a seizure so to head to the emergency room.  That is what we did.  Called a friend over since it was 2am and headed down.  I must have looked pretty bad because we barely got started with the admitting process before she called someone to come and get me.  Long story short....we sat at the emergency room for about two and half hours...never saw the doctor....most of the symptoms wore off....and we headed home.

The moral of the story is #1....don't ever take hydroxycut again!  #2...I have to learn to be happy with me.  Does this sound familiar?  Didn't I just post something about this.  What can I say I have been struggling.  Our most recent favorite show is "America's Next Top Model".  They start out with 12 girls and every week they have photo shoot, commercial, and runway competitions.  In the end there is one girl who wins.  I watch that show and wish that I could look like them...but that is not reality!  It is never going to happen.  But after watching that show...really anyone could be a model if we got to benefit from hair, makeup and wardrobe. I still need to learn to be happy with who I am!  There is a song by Selena Gomez that my girls like...it is called "Who Says". The lyrics go "who says, who says your not perfect, who says your not worth it, who says you're not beautiful, who says"..."I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me".  Someday I will believe that no matter how I look!!

Father's Day!!

( I know this is old...i have a lot of catching up to do......i have been moving for crap sake)  HaPpY FaThEr'S DaY to the best daddy I know!!!  My girls love their daddy and I love him too!!   You should see when he comes home from work even just for the day the girls are all running out the door yelling ...Daddy, Daddy, Daddy's home! I couldn't ask for a better dad for my girls than my hubby!!    For his special day we made this tie sign and treated him with a bunch of hero stuff because he is our hero.
He got hero juice, hero nosh, energy chips, a secret identity bar, hero vitamin pellets....and much, much more.  We surprised him in bed with the delivery made right to the master bedroom!!!  Even though we love our hero we also like to tease him a little.  Every year the girls and I pick a couple of gag gifts to give to him.  One year it was a big pink tie with orange polka dots that we made him wear to church.  Another year it was a trophy that said World Class Dad....Armchair Athlete!!  It had a remote and some chips stuck in the trophy!!  This year was not exception.  Shelby got him a survival chain....which included spare parts, a fart whistle and some 2 old vitamins.  Lexi accompanied that gift with an hearing enhancer which was a little scrub brush for his ears so he could hear her better.
We made some of his favorite things.... we had steak and shrimp for dinner and had German chocolate cake!!!  I think he had a great day!
This is the result of our gag gifts!!!  Hopefully that is not what I have to look forward to.  SCARY!!!

Roller Blade Diva!

After having a full day of Candyland...we were happy to share Makena's Birthday as a family the next day! (Mom was way too tired to do anything else after candyland). We sprayed her hair pink and painted her nails!!  We gave her some roller blades and some elbow and knee pads.....cuz she is going to need them.  She couldn't wait to get them on.  So out we went!

Look at my little roller blading DiVa!!! She is got her skelanimals helmet and pads and she is ready to go!!  Watch out neighbors she is going to plow you over.  Makena was so excited to get her roller blades for her birthday!!  She couldn't wait to get them on and she did so good on them.  She only fell a couple of times and when she did she just looked at me and said "I'm okay!!"  I love this girl she makes me smile.

Makena's Candyland..

Welcome to Makena's Candyland!!
Happy Birthday Makena!

When all her guests arrived Lexi and Carsyn welcomed them to Candy land and with tickets in hand directed them down the path to Lollipop trail.  Once inside Candy land there was the Peppermint Train, Gumdrop Pass, Bean Bag Acres, the Candy Castle, the Frosty Salon, and the Swamp (fishing pond).

All of Shelby's friends came to help with the Salon which was hair color and face painting.  The salon later became a tattoo parlor.  The girls ended up with all kinds of cute stuff on their arms, feet, legs,.  I faces.  I think the older girls had more fun than the little ones.
Look at all this candy!!  Yum!!!!
We also had snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn!!!  Nothing like getting the kids all sugared up and sending them home to their moms!!!
These are all of Makena's friends......Makenna, Makenna, Landri, Melia, Ellie, Emma, Karli, Eva, Sekoya, Katera, Lexi, and Gorga.  We also had Carys that went home early.
The fun continued with train rides, a pinata and cake!!!  What a super fun party for a special little girl!!
Happy Birthday Makena!!!  I hope your day was great!

It's for the Birds.

Please don't turn us in after reading this post!!  If you are one of those people.....STOP reading right now!  So this is momma bird above....resting after her whirlwind of dive bombs toward us!!
Here are momma's baby birds in a nest under our deck!!  Yes, he is removing the nest!  The girls or us, for that matter, could not step foot in the backyard let alone play without momma and daddy bird dive bombing us!  The girls would scream and run in the house.  So yes we did a bad thing!!  We took down the nest. And this is what we found.....

Lexi was so worried about the birds that we gave them water and cut up worms and fed them until we could take the birds down the the bird rescue place in Ogden.  There were 5 birds all squished in this nest.  They were pretty cute!

Here is Lexi and Karli with the rescue mission lady where we so kindly delivered the little birdies to hopefully live their life to the fullest!!!  Lexi was so happy that we didn't feed them to the kitties!!  Now that would be bad!!  You would really have to turn me in for that!

Failure!!!

So I guess my attempt at blogging about myself....failed miserably.  My husband so gracefully told me that my post about being "High Maintenance" was boastful..among other things!!!  He said I can't believe you are proud to be High Maintenance.
Well, I have since removed that post from my blog and apologize if you think that I was being proud and boastful!!  I meant it to be funny and finally show myself that I was okay with admitting that I am that way.  Everyone teases me about it!!  I just wanted to let them know they could! I am not proud of it, but that is just the way I am.  If I could take some of my friends easy goingness.....I so would in minute!!!
I guess I will stick to blogging about my kiddos!

2 Weeks of Baseball

This little champ was part of the Morgan Valley cubs team for about 2 whole weeks.  She was so excited to play until #1....she said this is a boys game (because there were only 2 girls on her team.  #2....she got smacked in the head with a bat!!  OUCH!
That was pretty much the end of baseball!!!  I wish she would have kept playing...she was such a good little hitter!  Maybe next year she will like it better when she can play on a softball team!  All Girls!
I felt so bad the day she got hit with the bat.  Her coach wasn't paying attention and right after she got hit, he sent her to bat!  She was in tears and trying to hit the ball.  Men...don't they have any brains in their heads!
Can't wait for next year....I hope she wants to play!

What do you want from me....

I tell you my Karli Jo could keep me in stitches all day!!!  And she can also make me pull out all my hair.  It just depends on her mood and that can change several times a day.  That being said ....she is hilarious!!! I don't know where she comes up with some of this stuff.

The other day she was singing this song......I gotsa Rock star...I gotsa rocka moves...and I n.n.n.n.need you..WHAT'S UP!  She just sang it over and over!!!  My favorite part is the What's Up!!!  I swear she wants to be a gangsta chick or something.  Cuz she is still saying What's up sista?

Then we were in the store yesterday and I was trying to get her to come with me.  So I called out her name because she was in the other isle and she came around the corner and she started singing..."What do you want from me?"  Just that line over and over.  She cracks me up that she understands what she is saying and when to say it.

Then she has her not so pleasant things she says like.  Pooperstain and dodohead or mommydodo, daddydodo, lexidodo, you get the idea!!! I can't wait until she uses that one in Nursery!!

I love this girl!!!

High Maintenance!!!

Me high maintenance...a claim I adamantly deny!!!  Until today!  I met a woman today that said.."Yea, I am high maintenance and proud of it!"  Now it is not something I am ready to yell from the roof tops, but can maybe admit it to myself and all my blog friends.  Yes...if anyone already didn't know..I am high maintenance!  There I said it.  (Hopefully my hubby is not reading this or this will be used several times in the future as ammo).
I don't know...my take on this is...(justify, justify).  I just respect myself and want the best that the world can offer.  I hope that doesn't sound snotty!  That is not my intent.
My friend called me spoiled today and in a way I am!!  I have a husband who loves me and tries to give me almost everything I want (within reason).  He wants to make me happy and I love that about him.  I have great kiddos.  I have an awesome rental house that I love.  Great food on my table.  And all the things I need in life.  If that makes me spoiled then so be it!!  My life is great!!
I have had to be humbled lately!  My hubby and I have had a new experience in our married life....we just purchased our first home.  We are excited!  But that is a different thing for us.  We have always been able to build our own home....which means..I get to pick everything and everything is BRAND NEW!  Anyway...I am kind of used to that so it has been a little frustrating to me.  BUT....I am excited to be settled and the yard is totally finished and beautiful I might add!!!
My step-dad and hubby have been calling me high maintenance for years....so go ahead keep calling me that.  It doesn't bug me anymore.  Besides my hubby is high maintenance too!

T-Ball!!!

T-Ball is one of my most favorite things to watch.  It is a full hour of laughter and smiles...guaranteed!
This year it was even more fun because my girls got to be on the same team.
Makena did a great job..she was a little timid at first but by the end of the season she was at the bottom of the dog pile with all the rest of the boys.  She would go after every ball and she was a great little hitter!!

My little bruiser loved the first game...but the love wore off as we went and her favorite thing to do was play in the dirt.  Almost every game we went to she would ask...i go play in the dirt!!!  She was one of the smallest ones on the team and she could really smack the ball.  As for running...we will still have to work on that.  There were a couple of times she would hit the ball and then run after her own ball to grab it.  Funny kid!  She loved her coach and still when she sees him at church she calls him coach.  This is her T-Ball cheer....Let's go mariners....Let's go!!  Clap, clap!

We loved watching our girls play... So much FUN!
