Birthday Fun!!!

Happy Birthday Shelby!!!!!! We took a short break between all the moving and celebrated my not so little girl's birthday!!!! I can't believe how big she is getting. And acting more and more like a teenager every day. She can still be a goof though when so one is watching!!! She is so helpful. She is always instigating fun things with her sisters, helping take care of her baby sister, exercising her vivid imagination, or reading a good book. What a girl!! If only they could all be like her.
We celebrated by going to the tree house museum and eating at her favorite restaurant......... Olive Garden... Where she has graduated from mac and cheese to fettuccine alfredo!!! Then we went home and opened presents. She got some things for Kit, a lot of art supplies, and a lot of money from Grama!!! Yahoo!!! She did say she wished that her birthday wasn't in the middle of all the packing though.
Here are some pictures of the girls at the tree house museum!!! I think my little bug had the most fun!! It was a busy toddlers dream~~

Inspirations Contest!!

The first thing I usually do when my girls bring notes home with extra things to do for school, I try to avoid them. Both the girls brought home a note for the Inspirations contest at the school. You can enter whatever you want....a 2D or 3D picture, literature, music, etc... My girls love to do the things!!! I love them to do them...it is just the after part that I hate. When they want to win so badly...and then they don't. I hate when their little hearts get crushed. Well, lucky for us that didn't happen this time. My little sweetie did a drawing about "Building Our Future One Dream at a Time" She drew herself dreaming about picking up garbage and recycling, becoming a doctor, and a helping dog. I think she is going to be my little granola girl!!! What I mean by that is, she is always so concerned about taking care of the earth. She talks about recycling all the time and absolutely won't litter. I told her to spit her gum on the ground once and she looked at me so matter of fact and said " No mom, that is littering". She is always so worried about making sure everyone is okay and that she doesn't hurt anybody's feelings. What a great girl I have!!!
She ended up winning 1st place in her age group for the 2-D visual arts and got a coupon for a free admission to the Treehouse museum. Then she won 1st place for the overall 2-D visual arts over all the age groups. She won a pair of heeles that go on over her shoes. Way to go!!! She was so excited and even got her picture in the paper. Which I was going to take a picture of, but she wanted to take it to school and show everyone and now I don't know where it is. I AM SO PROUD OF HER!!!

Mother's Day was great!!! The girls are always so sweet and they want to do such nice things for me. This year the made me breakfast in bed. With the help from daddy.....it was even a fairly healthy one. They made it all themselves and brought it in and woke me up to give it to me. They also gave me a dozen roses!!! Daddy gave me a coupon to get a new bedroom set of MY choice.........when we get our new house. It was a great day and they all made me feel special!!

POP"S Party!!!

This year my little sweetie got to go with her dad to the Pop's Party!!! It is a party that includes dinner for the two of them, a program, pictures, and lots of activities. They had so much fun!!! To start the night.... daddy showed up at the door with a rose to pick up my little sweetie. He said "Will you please go to the pop's party with me?" She was just giggling!!! She thought that was so cool. Then they were off. She sang lots of songs for her dad and they enjoyed a great (as great as school lunch can be) dinner. They went to the book fair and did some activities together. They had so much fun!! And as daddy promised they were home on time!!!

It is OFFICIAL!!

It is Official!! We are moving!!! I can' believe it!! It happened so fast. It has been a whirl wind of craziness!! About the second week in April, by hubby called me from St. George and said ....I could really live here. Well, that is all it took for me. I jumped on the wagon and the next thing we knew we were down looking at houses. Just trying to get a feel for what is out there.

After we got home we put a FOR SALE sign up in our yard and within two weeks we had sold our house. We thought it was going to take forever to sale and we were prepared to sit back and wait. Well, there is no sitting about it. After we accepted the offer, the new owners wanted us out in 4 weeks. WHAT!!!! There was no way. We convinced them into letting us stay until after school was out. Which gave me a lot more time to pack!!!

Can I just say I hate packing!!! It feels like a never ending process. It does help you clean out all the junk though!!! Speaking of junk.......I am having a yard sale....I think on the 16th if any of you want to come on down. So we have just a little time and a lot to do. I am so overwhelmed right now, if I make it through it will be a miracle. Our life is crazy, but we are excited. I feel like it was meant to be. There were so many things that just happened, it has to be. But I am going to miss everyone. I am really starting to get real emotional about going.
You all will have to come down and visit us and get out of the snow!!!

Weekend with DAD!!

The girls got to spend a fun filled..........no hair done...weekend with DAD!!! I went to try and find us a house in ST. George and the girls stayed home. They had a lot of fun....... When mom goes....so do all the RULES!!! Lots of TV, snacks, and staying up late. Plus they don't have to brush their teeth or get there hair done!!! No wonder they don't want me to come home. One of the nights I was gone they got a surprise visit from their big sister Jessi!!! They love her to pieces so that was awesome. Then they had a little fire in our back yard and roasted marshmallows. The fire pit was built with the hard work of the girls. They found and carried all the rock over and put them in a circle. Then they carried all the chairs over!!! How cute it that!
Here is my little bug, enjoying her graham cracker!! Good job DAD! No chocolate!

SHE"S WALKING!!!

She's walking!!! I can't believe it!! In some ways this first year has flown by and some ways not!!! So right before we left for Easter my little one decided she wanted to try those two little chubby feet out!!! Yahoo!! She has been my slowest walker and I was starting to get worried. But now...I am wanting her to just slow down!!! She is so busy, into everything, and she only stops for her nap!!! Sometimes I feel like all I do is chase her and pick up her messes all day long.
10 things I love about my high maintenance bug!!!
10... How High Maintenance she really is!!! I kept thinking that by the time she was one she would grow out of it. But no...it has just gotten worse!! ACCEPT it!! That is what I keep telling myself.
9.... She way she loves her daddy!!! I have another daddy's girl on my hands. The minute she hears him walk through the door...she is walking as fast as her little feet will take her.
8.... The way she loves her sisters.. She absolutely loves playing with her sisters!! She doesn't know what to do when they are at school.
7..... She loves to dance. She loves music and will go into her oldest sisters room and turn on the CD player all by herself so she can bounce around.
6.... How she is so sweet!!! She love to give big slobbery kisses and just recently big luvs. Especially when someone is crying. She has to go make sure everything is okay and give her love to them.
5.... I love that she is sleeping through the night!!! YEA!!!! I love that she still takes naps!! That is the only time I can get anything done.
4..... I love that her favorite time of the day is bath time and bedtime. At least I think it is!!! She loves the bath....LOVES it. And I love to cuddle her at night before bed. That is about the only time she will let you!!
3.... I love her big beautiful eyes!!! She takes my breath away sometimes.
2..... I love that she is my little shadow!! She will just follow me around all day. I am pretty sure it is because she wants me to pick her up and carry her all day.
1..... I love her because she is so special. She was meant to come to our home and fill it with love. To teach me about being strong!!! She has such a strong personality, which will be a blessing to her later in life.

Easter at Grama's

Easter is so much fun!!! I take a million pictures on Easter every year !! So enjoy!!
This year the girls wanted to spend Easter at Grama's house with their cousins, so we hopped in the car again......just after getting back from St. George and headed to Grama Sindy's. There were had so many activities....first we started out in the hills with an Easter egg hunt in the dirt, bushes, and trees. There is nothing funner!! I remember doing that when I was little. All 5 girls went on a nature hike with Uncle Jason while the moms and grama filled eggs with way too much candy.. Then when they came back they went nuts. Even my little one got to join in the action... She loved eating the candy!! We also got got to ride 4-wheelers!!! The girls got to try out their cousins (just their size 4-wheeler) and they had a blast. Then we headed back to grama's for a BBQ!!! Always yummy food. Which makes me ruin my diet every time!!
Then we Easter bunny came to visit on Saturday morning!!! (Good idea EB)!!! That crazy old bunny left them new summer outfits, a new Swimming Suit, a toy and lots of candy. Then they found eggs hidden all over Grama's house. My little one slept through it all and we had to hide them again for her to find. She thought that was so fun!!! We spent the rest of the day coloring Easter eggs and painting bunnies!!!
We ended up cutting our trip short because of my little one getting a 105 temperature. I just wanted to be home just in case. So we came home on Sunday and started to feel much better.
Home Sick....I guess... Thanks for a great weekend mom and sis!!!

Conference Sunday!!

WOW!! New Post!! Amazing!! Sorry I have been a little busy lately!! So this was conference Sunday!! I had printed off an activity workbook for the kiddos to do while watching conference.
It was so cute.....I set up our card table by the TV so they could listen, watch, and work!! They played bingo with M&M's, crossed off how many times they Apostles said prayer, baptism, family, temple, etc.... They had a lot of fun and they even listened to all of the first half of conference......which then translates into MOM got to listen too!! YEA!!! Mt little one was even good. This is her folding her arms to say prayers. I love conference Sunday!! You get to be spiritually uplifted in the comfort of your own home without having to juggle kids. How much better can it get!! Oh yea, you can EAT while you are watching .
