Happy Birthday Shetween!

 So my little girl is turning into a teenager!!! One of Shelby's friend's mom calls her SheTween.  She hates it but I think it is very fitting!!  We had already celebrated her birthday with all of her friends so we just got together and shared Shelby's favorite cake....(better than anything cake).  And did the normal teenage I don't want my picture taken thing...here we go.
 She blew out the candles and made a wish!!!  I wonder....did it have anything to do with Talon.
And she got a $50 American Express! Whoot...Whoot!  She is stylin' now!  Happy Birthday my SheTween!  You are so much fun and I am so happy you are a part of our family!

Spa Day Birthday!

Happy Birthday Shelby!!  We spent the day with a bunch of giggly girls at the spa!!  We picked them up from the school and headed down to Beyond Spa!!  When we got there I gave each girl a robe(that i made..i am getting so domestic)  and a little eye mask and we they were ready to get relaxed!!!

 Or so I thought!!!  We went into the massage room...the lights were down, the relaxing music was playing, they laid down on the table, and the giggling began.  Remind me never to get massages again with these girls.  Between all the giggling and talking they got their feet massaged, faces massaged, and they even got cucumbers on their eyes.  I wouldn't say they enjoyed the massage, but they had lots of fun!

After the spa we went and got ice cream and went to the park to do glitter toenails and crackle fingernails!!!  We had a blast!!
These were her invitations.  We traced her had and painted the finger nails and wrote a little Don't Forget around the finger.  I thought they were way cute!

I'm a Single Lady!

 Do I have a little Diva on my hands or what?  I love this little girl!  Tonight was her dance recital where she performed her adorable clogging dance to "I'm a Single Lady"!  So flippin cute!!!  She loves to dance and really gets into it.  Even her facial expressions!  She is just starting her dance experience but I am sure she will follow in her sisters clogging steps!!!  She also got to show off her tumbling skills....doing cartwheels, back bends, and jump touches!!  She loves tumbling too.  I think that may be her favorite thing to do right now.  But then....this kid loves just about everything.  She is so happy and positive about everything!  Shake what your momma gave ya!

Just a little Quirky!

I am a little quirky!  I have strange little things that make me...ME!!!  Just ask my friends and family.  Here is my list...if you want to leave and comment and add to my list feel free.
~~~I am very matchy, matchy!  When my girls were little.  Even their binkies had to match their clothes and would buy several of them to make sure I had one to match.
~~~Was I the only one who got excited over a brown scrubbing sponge?  Scotch brite has come out with an all natural scrubbing sponge and it is brown.  I can finally have it sit on my sink and it match.  And not be that green and yellow eye sore!!  Sorry I know I am a dork!  As I sit here and think about it....i don't know why I even have a sponge...they are infested with germs.
~~~In my old age I have become a germaphobe!  I am not to extreme yet but am well on my way.  I have labeled my pillow and pillow case with my name and have done the same with my hubby's.  I have a really hard time staying in a hotel.  I have to have either my shoes or socks on at all times.  I strip the bedding, have to bring my own pillow and blanket, and can't stand showering.  I need to buy some of those shoes that you wear in water and pack them in my suitcase.  If I forget my pillow and have been know to take the pillow and put a t-shirt over the top so I can sleep.
~~~I can not leave or go to bed with my house a mess.  There can't be any dishes in the sink or anything left out of it's place.  Or I can't leave or I have been known to stay up until 1:00am to get it clean if needed.
~~~Like I said before, everything has a place.  So much so that my friends come to my house and move things just to drive me crazy!
~~~I think I vacuum every day!  I love the way the carpet looks after you vacuum.
~~~When I am at the grocery store buying meat.  I take the plastic bag and put my hand in it and then grab the package of meat and then pull the bag over it.  So I don't get my hand all yucky with meat juices.  That makes me cringe!!
~~~Please do not laugh at this....But I have a special bathroom in my house that is designated just for doing your unpleasant business.  Yep...we all call it the poop bathroom.  That is the only place that can happen.  All the others are off limits.
~~~I have OCD really bad.  I have been known to kill fish because I clean their tank too much because I want the water crystal clear.
~~~Whenever I leave the house the girls get fixed all over again.  Hair...check!  Clean clothes...check!  Matching shoes.....check!
After that one...I think I am going to stop before you think I am completely off my rocker.  Or before you laugh yourself right off the chair.  I am quirky and I love it!!  That is just what makes me....me!  Laugh and tease all you want.....my quirkiness is here to stay.

Tea Party..

Daisy girl scout Tea party....Teddy Bear Picnic!!  Just after the first of the year my cute little neighbor started a daisy girl scout troop.  It has been so much fun for Makena.  She has a fancy blue vest with a pin and a couple of badges.  This little tea party was our last little hoorah for the year.  We met in Ogden at an art museum, played games, made crafts and had a tea party!  The girls were dressed from head to toe for the occasion!  Even all the mom's were decked out!  We had a great day spending time with our girls!!

 Mom sure loves you Kena...Kena!!!

I am a Child of God...

  So does this look like a face of a premeditated naughty little girl?  Look close....don't let her fool you!  She can look as sweet as can be but underneath she is a mastermind of naughty!  The other day I was sitting at my computer and she peeked around the corner and very sweetly told me...."Mom, i a child of god!"  I looked at her and said, "Thanks for telling me that...I think so too".  Then she left and I didn't think anything but...."oh, how sweet!"  Until, the silence followed.  When there is silence in my house when Karli is around that means that nothing good is happening.  So I got up to go and find her and guess what I found?  Yep, little Miss Naughty was out full force getting into all her sisters stuff and eating their lip gloss.  So what was the point of her telling me she was a Child of God?  Premeditated Naughtiness that is what!!  She thought things through and decided that if she told me she was a Child of God then there would be no way I could get mad at her for being naughty.  Smart little cookie huh?
 This is really what she should look like!!!  Can you see the mischief in her eyes?  I sure can!
