Halloween!!!

Let the celebrating begin!!! Wow we had a full week of celebrating Halloween!!! First we went to a business trunk or treat with our favorite cousins. It was lots of fun. Not a lot of cars but a good way for my little bug to get warmed up to the idea of trick or treating. She had a lot of fun!! Then off we went to a Halloween festival in Tonaquint. They had a lot of fun Halloween games to play and a lot of fun loot. Karli was not bashful at all.....she just jumped right into throwing the bean bag in the bucket and digging through her candy bucket for "moooooore"!!!

This year the girls got to pick what they wanted to be!! I usually try to persuade them into picking something that they can all match in some way. Like this year I wanted them to all be pirates but they all argued with me and said, "we want to chose"!! I didn't have the energy to push my desires, so we had Captain Cutie, a camouflage Diva, a spiderweb Witch and Little Minnie Mouse. I was so excited this year to be somewhere warm so we didn't have to cover up their costumes. As luck would have it....it was freezing cold this week and we still had to cover up. Bummer!!

Two days later we got to go to our ward truck or treat!!! This was our first year to participate in a trunk or treat and the girls loved it. They thought that was pretty fun to just walk from car to car and get a lot of candy in a very short amount of time. Again....Karli loved it. Candy, Candy and more candy. All she kept saying was "mooooore"

Then the girls all had their own little parties in their school classes. They all got to dress up. The older girls even had a Halloween parade at school that we went and watched. They all had a alot of fun.

Finally, Halloween night arrived. We spent it with our favorite and very missed friends the Houstons. We took another house hunting trip and we got lucky to spend Halloween with the girls best friends. We went to their ward building and had some more trunk or treat fun!! Kena had more fun giving the candy I think. Then we went to a haunted house which left all of my girls crying....except Shelby. I am surprised the girls continued the rest of the night with how traumatized they were. We went to a few houses and went back to our friends house for hot cocoa and games. One of the most exciting parts of the night was seeing the headless horseman!
He was awesome. Sorry, no picture!!! This Halloween was definitely one to remember!

Pumpkins!!!

Pumpkin carving is so much fun!!!! EEEWY GOOOEY Yuck all over hands, floor, counter tops.... and so much fun for moms to clean up.. That is true, but I really do like carving pumpkins, especially with girls who hate to touch yucky stuff. As you can tell by the look on the little ones faces they did not want anything to do with that yucky stuff. We all had a great time!!!

"EEEEEEW" is what my little one said!!!!

Monster Mash!!

This starts the first of my many Halloween posts!! I will have to say that Halloween is one of my least favorite holidays. And lucky for me I got to celebrate it for OVER entire week. It started with the daddy daughter Monster Mash with the achievement day girls. It was a costume party. So we got dad and daughter all matched up in their camo gear. They had a lot of fun!! They ate mummy hot dogs, swamp juice, spider something.....just a bunch of fun Halloween food. Then they played games and painted dads faces. They loved spending time together and all the other girls were jealous... They wanted to go spend time with their dad too.

They were awarded the best couple costume!!

Here is how dad's face looked after the party. She did pretty good. By the sounds of it....she was the nicest one to her dad....at least with the paint.

Its raining LEAVES!!!

The weekend before Halloween we went to visit Grama. Daddy was out of town again and I couldn't handle staying home the entire weekend without him. I know, I know what a pansy!! Next door to my moms house is a vacant house with huge trees. The girls got out the rakes and spent the whole afternoon playing in the leaves. It was so much fun. When the wind would blow it would blow off more leaves from the tree and the girls said "it is raining leaves".. This is one of my favorite things to do with the girls!!!! I love this time of year.
After playing in the leaves we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. We got to take a hayride out to the patch and walk around to pick "the perfect pumpkins".. Let me tell ya, it took forever. The perfect pumpkin is hard to find with 3 indecisive girls and pumpkins that were very picked over. The girls had fun and we ended up with 4 perfect pumpkins. What made it extra fun was going with grama and our cousins and aunt.
My little one had a blast in he leaves. This was her first time to join in the fun and she loved it.

This is the one.....I think!!!

It's raining LEAVES!!!!

The Little Things~~

So Friday nights are the nights that my girls look forward to all week. They love to stay up late and watch movies. They love to pop popcorn and eat dry cereal as they watch their favorite shows. It is even more fun when we blow up the air mattress and they get to sleep in the living room after.
Sometimes I get caught up in the craziness of life and of being upset with the fact that we never seem to be able to go on a vacation. But I need to remember that there are a lot of little things that we do together that my girls will remember too. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money or be a big production....we just need to create those memories when we can.

A night at Tuachan!!

A night at Tuachan!!! At the first part of October we took the girls to go see Annie!!! I did very reluctantly......I absolutely hate plays. I don't know what it is, but I really, really can't stand them. But I did it for my girls, because they love them. It ended up being a fun night even though we had a very stressful day. We went with Grama and Pa Bradford, Grama Sindy and Grampa Mike, and Kacey and the boys. We met and had dinner before we went.... at the girls favorite restaurant. The girls had a blast!!! After the play we got to meet Annie and some of the orphans. The girls thought that was really cool.
We were debating about taking Karli with us, but she ended up having the most fun of all of them. Until the end when she just got too tired. She was dancing to all the songs, eating lots of treats, and sitting on strangers laps. I can't forget her saying "cheese" for the camera.
We all had a great time!!! Even though it was a late night and everyone except mom and dad fell asleep on the way home.

Plans Change!!!

Okay, I know everyone is really saying in the back of their minds...."these people don't know what they want"!!! I swear... sometimes I think I am not in tune at all!! We had planned on moving this week Oct. 9th. But some unforeseen things have come up and we are going to have to postpone our move for at least a month. We found a place up on Mahogany Ridge that we were going to rent but they were also trying to sell it and they might have buyer. So we need to wait and see what happens. Until then we are going to stay put for a month and then go from there. We are still moving back, it just a matter of when.

We will just have to enjoy the warmer weather for just a little longer. That means we get to enjoy trick or treating without bundling up!!! That will be a new experience!!!

I don't' know what is wrong with me? I feel like we are making decisions for the right reasons and listening to the spirit. But I feel like every time we make that decision something goes wrong. I guess I just need to become a more "go with the flow" kind of person. And look at the positive side of things rather than the negative. My husband keeps saying, "it is an adventure, so just go with it" So stay tuned for our next trauma!!! (I am not do good at looking for the positive....am I).

Glutton for PunishmenT!!

If you can't guess by this picture what we are doing again.....................MOVING!!! Man I am glutton for punishment I guess!!!! I don't even know what I did to deserve this! This is going to be the 6th move in just over 2 yrs. And it is not even the last one. This time we decided to pay someone to move us. It is more money than I want to spend, but it will be worth it. We are outta here next week and we are heading back home. I am sure everyone is having a good laugh. Don't worry....we won't ask any of our friends to help this time. I think we have maxed out everyone in the "come help us move department". We are all excited to get back home, where we know everyone. The girls have been struggling down here with school so they are way excited to go back. I am sad to leave!!! I have been able to spend a lot of time with my family and I am going to miss that a lot. AND.....We came here in the heat of the summer and now we are going back to the snowy winter weather. I didn't even get to enjoy one winter without SNOW!!! That is probably better anyway or I would never want to leave. Well, I need to go start the packing again!!!!
