Just an update on my hubby!!! We have had a long week!!! Today is Saturday and he is still on the hospital. And he is going stir crazy!! This has been our week!
Monday: Scary day!! He struggled to breath, and was hooked up to oxygen. He couldn't talk very well and I banned all phone calls. He had a heart monitor on. We were both pretty scared. We had lots of tears and lots of anxiety. Jessi came and helped a ton!!!
Tuesday: He was breathing better. Was still on the oxygen. Could talk better...but it hurt him to cough, laugh, or sneeze. Still banned from talking on the phone. Today had an echo on his heart and leg. We found out he still had a clot in his leg and that he has a hole in his heart. More tears..... The hospital experience has not been a good one so far....from the lady putting us in triage for 15 minutes while my hubby couldn't breath, to the doctors dropping bombs on us with no explanations, to nurses calling my hubby a Pansy!!! So today I had a "knock that crap off" talk with the Doctor and the nurse!!! Things got much better after that!!! Jessi still here helping with the girls and staying with my hubby at night.
Wednesday: Talked to cardiologist to get a plan. Talked to Doctor!!! Not great news but at least we were getting some answers. He is much better today!! Could talk on the phone, laugh without pain, and got up to take a shower.
Thursday: More and more improvement. Finally getting my hubby back!!! Oxygen came off today.
Friday: He feels great, wants to get out, and is starting to go crazy being in there.
Saturday: Thought he was getting out today, but it didn't happen. Now he is getting mean and nasty!!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!!
It has been a rough week!!! It is hard to be in a new place and not know anyone, when you need so much help. My sister and grandparents have been GREAT!! I am thankful to have family around. I am so Thankful for my blessings and have really realized how precious life is this week. That feeling will continue into next week when my mom has surgery!! Sometimes we take for granted the things we have and then we have to be reminded of those things. I have definitely been reminded.

Enough Already!!!
Okay, so I said I wouldn't blog anymore negative energy!!! Sorry, but here it comes!!!!! I have had enough!!! I cry UNCLE!!( or whatever that phrase is).
Yesterday we had a great Father's Day.....my hubby was milkin it... "I don't have to do that it's Father's Day"....."I can watch whatever I want, it's Father's day"....on and on and on. That is okay right...it is only one day a year. We had just got the kids to bed and sat down to watch a movie. We had only been into it about a half hour when my hubby started to act weird. At first I thought he didn't like my taste of movie...but then I got scared. He was pale, sweating, having chest pain, and couldn't catch his breath. Luckily we have family in this town and at 11 pm I called to have someone come watch the girls so we could head to the ER. Only about 5 minutes away....Thankfully!!! Now I am not a psychic or anything!!! But I already knew what it was!!
For the last three days he had been having a pain in his calf, he couldn't hardly walk. I begged him to go get checked but of course my stubborn hubby wouldn't go. I called his sister who is a nurse and asked her about blood clots. She gave me the quick one..two. But only some of the symptoms were evident so I tried to push it out of my mind. Well, he did end up having a blood clot in his leg that traveled up into both of his lungs. We were very lucky it didn't go anywhere else. So right now I am enjoying the view from the $$$$ seat!!! Good thing we still have insurance!!!!
I am blogging while I am waiting for the Doctor to come in. We still don't know anything yet! They are a little baffled by why he got the clot....so they are going to run some tests to find out why. In the meantime he is on a blood thinner to try and get rid of the clots. He is looking at a 3-5 day stay in this luxurious 5 star hospital!!! This is the life!! NOT!! He is already going crazy!
I did say I wasn't superstitious right? Well, this is the 3rd thing~~~ I am done!! I don't know if I can take it!!! They may have to admit me to the psych ward. I could sport a straight jacket don't you think!!! Keep him in your prayers.
In all seriousness............I could have lost my husband last night!!! Holy cow......what a feeling that is. They say it was amazing and a miracle that he dodged the bullet of not one but two blood clots going to his heart or brain and killing him in an instant. I am really trying to be strong and I have to for my girls and for him. Will see what the next week brings!!! It has got to get better right? I am scared to say it.

When it Rains......it Pours!!!
So I will try to keep this my last dreary post for a while. These things usually happen in three's (I am not really superstitious), so I hope you won't be hearing from me again unless it is positive. Last week while (window) shopping... I received a call from my mom....giving me the awful news of her being diagnosed with colon cancer. It takes you so off guard, you don't even know what to think or do. Cancer is such an ugly word!!! You think it is never going to happen to someone you know and love. She ended up needing some more tests to know how bad it really was, and luckily all the test look good. She will end up having surgery at the end of this month and then we go from there. They will have to do some more tests after the surgery to see what her treatment plan will be. But for now we are hopeful!!!
I have spent a few days in tears!! In shock!! and In denial!! But I am also trying to be positive for her and give her support. We will see what the next couple of weeks brings.
I swear my life lately has been a trial, but I must need to grow and learn from some of these things. I have to be thankful for my blessings and know there are so many more people going through worse. I don't know why sometimes I run across these things when I am blogging. And maybe it is so I can put my life in perspective, but tonight I came across this blog................... http://famofcookies.blogspot.com/. There is this sweet little girl, who is just a few months younger than my little bug, who just won her battle with cancer...this far. She was diagnosed at 6 months with neuroblastoma cancer and has spent the last several months in and out of hospitals, having surgeries, and smiling through it all. It kind of makes you think about that what you are going through is maybe not so bad. I hope and pray my mom will have the same success story!!!

I am so LOST!!
I really am trying to be positive!! But I am feeling so lost!! We felt a very strong impression to sell our house and move. This isn't the best place to be trying to find a job. Isn't this the worst place for trying to find a job!!! What the!!! Yesterday was a very hard day at church. I feel like all I did was hold back tears. It is hard enough being in a new place and trying to meet new people........but then I don't even want to because I don't know if I am staying here...My hubby keeps finding leads that will take us back up North. I am really trying to understand all of this. I know that we have been blessed and I keep trying to concentrate on that.
For those who know me well, would be so surprised to see me now. So unmotivated!! I was doing so well unpacking and after Monday I just stopped. My house is a wreck....no decorations are up...I don't get ready until after 12pm. For now I just live and try not to take it out on my kiddos. And keep my tears to a minimum.
I know there are worse things that could happen and to keep remembering God's hand in my life.

We Made IT!!!!!!
We did not however have a nice welcoming committee. We all arrived here as a family on Sunday and Monday we got the devastating news that my hubby was laid off!!! Along with 25 of his fellow co-workers. So selling the house was definitely a blessing in disguise!! We both knew we needed to sell the house and move...but we didn't know why. Now we know!!! I had a friend of mine write in her blog that she is a "glass half empty" sort of person. Well, I am too. I have been feeling like that for the last two days. It is so hard to look at the blessings you have been given when something like this happens. My hubby on the other hand is a "glass half full" kind of guy. I am so proud of him and how he has been handling this. We are devastated and scared, but we are trying to stay positive and keep telling ourselves that everything happens for reason. I am glad we listened to our promptings and were able to sell our home. I am thankful to not have that kind of stress looming over me. We go from promotion to elimination.....go figure!! I am still trying to understand all of it. So for now we are job hunting and who knows where it will take us. Maybe even back home. Keep us in your prayers!!! We sure need them!!
