Tangled!

What an exciting day.....we got to meet Rapunzel from Tangled! She came to my friends house and it was so fun!!! The girls loved it. They played a game with Pascal, she read them the Tangled story that Makena so politely brought for her to read, she signed all their stuff...books & brushes & movies, and she made every little girl there smile. Of course my friend made a big ta- doo of a party for all the girls. They ate spaghetti noodles and grapes, they decorated their own cupcakes, ate a Rapunzel cake, and painted Rapunzel pictures! To top the day off we bought the Tangled movie and the girls haven't stopped watching it. Today was a big day!

Dixie Spectacular!

I love this little Rockstar!!! She did so awesome this weekend at the Dixie Spectacular! Her team performed two dances and took 1st on one and an overall on the other! She is a great little clogger and is too cute for words! Everyone came and watched her....Grama and Gramps B, Grama Sindy & Crapa Mike, Kacey and boys, Az and Carsyn, and of course her sisters! We were all so proud of her! It was so funny....while we were waiting on Lexi's dance Karli and Tallan got on the stage all by themselves and showed us their moves. It was so funny!! Everyone was probably thinking who are those kids and where are their parents! Great job Lexi for teaching your sister the moves.
The rest of the weekend we just hung out with family! We ate, played laser tag, went to Curve...our favorite yogurt place, and went swimming! We had a blast! The weather wasn't that great but the company was. Thanks for a great weekend Lex! You danced like a RockStar!!!

Thru the eyes of a 3 year old.

Sorry about the bad picture!!! I only had one shot because after I took this my destructive little girl took her paper and ripped it up! With that being said...she was a doll when she brought this home from nursery today. They talked about the sacrament and when she got home she proudly told all of us what she learned.
The sacrament thru the eyes of a 3 year old.........

....taka some bread...mmmm

....taka some water

....fold a arms

.....a picture of Jesus Christ.

The Sunday after she made this picture our home teachers came and taught us about the importance of the Sacrament. Her eyes got big and she said "sacrament...and repeated the above to them". It was one of those mom moments!! Most of the time I feel like this little one never listens to anything. She is her own little person and she does what she wants. But even with all her stubbornness...there are things getting through!

St. Patty's Day Fun!

Happy St. Patty's Day....you are my POT O GOLD at the end of the rainbow!!! What a cute little bag the Leprechauns left for the girlies! It was full of chocolate gold. Those tricky little Leprechauns came to visit the girls again this year. Luckily for me they didn't make a mess this year! Just brought a bunch of green stuff for the girls...and stuck it in their shoes!!!!
Here are my girlies minus one (who was still sleeping) in their green shirts and their little no pinching tags attached to their shirts!! Ready for a non-pinching day at school!

Here is my little cutie....finally up and ready! And all GREENED up!
She had a little extra green today with her big bruise on her forehead. She was at a friends house getting baby sat and she did a face plant on the cement. She came home with a big and I mean big goose egg! But she was tough!
Doesn't this look appetizing? This was Lexi Loo's green peanut butter sandwich. She also had sour cream and onion chips, green grapes, a green juicy juice box, and some green candy!! MMMMMM...yum!

What a fun day!

Horse Poop is like Perfume!

I don't know if Lexi could love horses more than she does!! She loves them so much that she is willing to scoop, scoop, and scoop up their poop! For her birthday we made arrangements for her to go work at a horse arena a couple of times a week. All she has done for the last three week is clean stalls. Yep...scoop horse poop and it stinks!!! The shovel is taller than she is! But she loves it. After she is done she goes and watches the horses get trained. She hasn't been able to ride at all yet, but she is looking forward to it! I have to say this is the cutest little cowgirl in the world. Her dream is to be a Rodeo queen and have her own horse! Hopefully, some day I can make that happen for her. Until then scooping horse poop will have to do! Besides she said that it is like perfume to her.

The Tree of Life!

Shelby puts on quite the family night!! So much planning and preparation! Like mother, like daughter I guess!! We have been reading the scriptures as a family and it is slow going but at least it is going. So a little while ago we read about the Tree of Life vision and just recently we rented a Living Scripture movie from the library about it. That got Shelby's mind a turning!

She she created the Tree of Life reenactment for us. She strung black string all over...from the bedrooms through the living room down to the basement. Back and forth, Back and forth! Then she built the great and spacious building with music, treats, drinks, and a lot of dolls to laugh and scoff at us as we go by. Then down the stairs was her tree with fruit and all! She is so creative and fun..she is going to be a great mom.
Here are the girls playing up the part!! I think these two are the best at these roles!!! Karli is downing her drink and Lexi is singing it up!!
Here is Lexi holding on the the iron rod! She made it through! When we participated in this activity the lights were off and they had to find their way through the darkness. There was also an added surprise!! Me--playing Satan...trying to get them to let go of the rod. I could get Karli every time by offering her some candy! Hopefully...not a sign of things to come. We had a lot of fun! Great job Shelby!

Back to Being a Stage Mom!

Ready or Not.... I am back to being a stage mom!! Making sure hair number 101 is in place...CHECK, applying stage cheeks....CHECK, running all over creation for competitions.....CHECK, and having my heart burst with pride watching my girls dance...CHECK!!!!

Shelby and I headed out Friday to Idaho for the Idaho State Competition. Just her and I!! The ride was fun...a lot of girl talk and dancing! We barely made it and the all-nighter began! She performed her solos Great!!! A little nervous getting back on the stage but she worked it out. She earned a medal and a 1st and 2 2nd's on her solo's. We ate a snack and anticipated her team dance. Her dance teacher is so awesome!! They always look so sharp and together with the most amazing dances! She performed her team dance with all the confidence that she has and then we awaited the results! By the time they announced the results there was only two members of the team still there....one of them was Shelby. Her team took an overall! Shelby got the trophy and got to keep it all weekend until she went to dance again on Thurs. She was so stoked!!!

The best part of her dance experience this year is her BFF is on her team! These two are the best of friends and have so many similar likes and characteristics! It really makes it fun for Shelby.
After the competition we headed to the hotel and we ended up eating dinner at 10pm. I think that is the latest I have ever eaten. Then off to the hotel....i so needed my bed. I handed the remote off to Shelby and I fell asleep......and amazingly slept in until 10am. What? I haven't done that since I was a teenager. We even missed breakfast! We drove home and had a lot of girl talk! Thanks for the great weekend Shelb!

My Guilty Pleasures!!

There are a few things that I have to admit are temptations that I give in to......The first one is a hamburger from 7-eleven. Now I am not a hamburger girl!! I will pick almost anything else before I eat a hamburger. I have tried In & Out and Five Guys and I just wasn't impressed. One day I was in 7-eleven and I was starving...I hadn't eaten lunch so I gave in!! Everyone had said how good they were so I took the chance. BAD DECISION!!! I am totally addicted to them now.
I think the week I decided to try one I ended up eating 3! Now keep in mind these things are definitely not on the the under 500 calorie menu!! I have only had one more since that first week but the thought crosses my mind on a weekly basis to go get one. My friend has even started texting me in the mornings telling me not to go to 7-eleven that day!!! That is how bad it has gotten. I admit....I need to go to HAA meetings. Did I forget to mention their fries? YUMMMM! My next temptation are these little milk chocolate mouths of goodness. I love Easter and hate it just because of these little guys!! I can seriously eat a whole bag full in one day by myself. I think these are most favorite things on this planet!! I wonder why my jeans are just not fitting quite right anymore. Could it be because of these devilish little eggs? Nah......give me another bag!

And last but not least are carmel apples. I don't get these often, but when I do they are gone in a flash. AND I don't even share!!! My mom is usually the one who gives me one and I love her for that!
I have quite a long list of yummy things...like Tepanyaki, Texas Roadhouse, cold stone, Frogurt, Costa Vida,......I am sorry I can't go on! I will definitely embarrass myself! And maybe encourage some more txts from my friend. One of these days I will look back on this post with my skinny model body and laugh...or the other and most likely scenario is I will look back on this post while on the Biggest Loser while Gilian makes me cry!

Expired!!!

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to ride in an Ambulance? I know I have never wanted to...but almost felt like I had a chance today.

I don't know why I did this because I am such a freak about expiration dates. The minute something has expired it hits the trash. Well, today I took some medication that was expired. Let me rephrase that...it said DO NOT TAKE after 12/12/10. I thought what is the big deal...it is probably just not as potent. Boy was I wrong..... I should have listened to that little voice that told me to leave it in the garbage when it accidentally fell in there. So I took the medicine and within about 15 minutes....my body started tingling, then it felt like my body was being burned from the inside out, my heart was racing, and I could barely breathe my lungs were so tight. I called my hubby and he said I sounded horrible. I told him to stay on the line with me in case anything he happened he could call 911! Luckily it passed within about 5 minutes. It happened 3 more times that day and scared the heebee jeebees out of me. I really don't want to take a ride in the big red flashing bus! I don't think I will be taking that medication any time soon!

Stripes and podda dots!!

Happy Birthday to my adventurous, spunky, and very opinionated 3 year old. If you ask her what she wants for her birthday she says she wants stripes and podda dots presents. That is all she cared about was the wrapping paper!!! Go figure....I thought that only mattered to kiddos when they were 9 months. That is like the perfect gift. Apparently it works for 3 year olds too!! She wasn't much help in helping mom decide on what she wanted inside the stripes and podda dots presents.

After she opened her favorite wrapping paper and the only thing she wanted...she ended up with alot of food that she can cut and stick. She loves, loves to play kitchen! And thankfully she loved them. She got a cake, pizza, and some veggies. Those would have been enough...but I never learn. Her big present with the help from Grama was a motorized Cinderella scooter. She was so excited to get it out of the box, she helped daddy put it all together and hopped on it and went. AND THEN....she hit the wall barely...and she has not got on it since. The scooter is now Makena's!!! I hope she will come around and she will end up loving it, but for now she is content on riding on the back while Kena drives. The pressure was on me again to come up with a cute homemade cake. I can't handle the stress anymore.....i just want to buy a CAKE!! Karli ended up with a princess crown and some extra princess cupcakes. She loved it and called it her special cake!! That made all the stress worth it. Her favorite thing was to blow out the candles and she asked to do it over and over again.
This is what I wish she looked like riding her scooter.....but unfortunately this was just a photo op! The scooter is not moving and I had to beg her to get on it for a couple of minutes.

Happy Birthday to my strong, crazy, bossy, loving, special daughter. I love you to pieces!

Lay off the GAS!!!

Have I ever told you how much I hate Speeding Tickets? Well, I hate SPEEDING TICKETS!! They are a total waste of money!! I guess I should think about then when my foot is pressing on the gas pedal! This weekend was a doosy!! It started Friday when I got pulled over for speeding in town. I was just running to get Lexi from her horse job....it didn't even grab my wallet. I get pulled over....GREAT! I have decided that I know that I am getting old...because I use to could get out of speeding tickets. Just bat my eyes, talk all sweet, say I didn't know I was speeding. Always, always I would get off with a warning!!! Now, it is you need to slow down Ma'am!!! What I am not a ma'am!! And I definitely don't deserve a $90 ticket! Oh, he did give me some pity...he took 5 mph off so it wouldn't be worse. Thanks for your pity...it still feel old!

That was my contribution to wasting my hubby's hard earned money. Next came his turn. He was on his way home from Wyoming and vwola!! He got a ticket!! We are just an unlucky bunch!! I couldn't even get mad at him! At least his was only $60! So together we just wasted $150! Ouch!!! I could think of a million things I could have spent this money on! Cross our fingers that is doesn't affect our insurance.

Snuggly Valentines Day!!

Happy Love day to you girls!!! For Valentines I bought the girls some snugly blankets so every time they wrap up in them....they know how much I love them. They were so soft and cuddly and the girls loved, loved them. I loved them so much I even treated myself to one. I was worried that the girls would think that is was a cheesy gift but they haven't put them down. They sleep with them every night and even take them on trips.
Karli even uses hers to pretend like it is a swimming pool. This little girl now has 3 blankets...the striped one, the potta dot one, and the blue one. And she has to sleep with all of them every night. I was hoping that the new blue one would replace the others but it just added to! Best gift I ever gave to the girls!!! Happy Valentines Girlies!

I HEART you!

12 years!! I can't even believe it! We just celebrated our anniversary and if you ask my hubby it was AWESOME!!! I finally got it after 12 years of marriage! I spoke his love language and he loved it! I got a little adventurous for me (what am I saying...a lot adventurous) and a little romantic. We went out to dinner...just the two of us! I know amazing right? Then we came back home and got rid of the kiddos and had a nice quiet night at home. I made some chocolate strawberries in my very cute/sexy apron. And the rest is for a later revision. I don't know what you are suppose to do for gifts for a 12 year anniversary but we both got new wedding rings. He got a brand new one and I got mine reset. I can't wait to see it!

I am so lucky to have him in my life. I give him so much crap all the time and I tend to nag a little. But truly he is awesome. Any wife would kill to have a husband like him. He gives me anything I want (pretty much), he is so helpful around the house...dishes, picks up, occasionally vacuums, helps with the girls, and always gives me a break when I need it. He is always telling my how much he loves me and gives me at least 10 compliments a day about stuff. I take it for granted a lot!! But he is the best! I am looking forward to many more years of bliss, adventure, and romance!

Clean and Pure....

Now I've reached the age to judge
The wrong road from the right,
And I am here to be baptized
In this dress of white.
So once again I'm free from sin.
The path is clear to me.
I'll grasp the rod and hold on tight,
I vow with certainty.
Just as mud would stain my dress,
Sin would stain my soul.
The key is to repent or bleach,
For whiteness is my goal.
(Linda Gay Perry Nelson)

Feb 5th 2011....what a special day for my little Lexi! She has been waiting and preparing for this day for a long time. It finally came!! She is such strong, passionate, and sensitive little girl. The Sunday before she got baptized she had her interview with the Bishop, which went GREAT! We did however find out that none of the primary leaders were going to be able to be there which was adding to the number of people that couldn't make it. I went to Lexi and asked her if she wanted to postpone her baptism for a month so more people could come. And her response was..."No mom, I am suppose to get baptized on Saturday and that am getting baptized on Saturday!...That is what I am suppose to do!"

She was all prepared..
interview with Bishop...check
sew baptism dress.....check
get a towel with her name and date of baptism....check
assign talks to mom and Grama Sindy....check
understand why she is getting baptized.....check
invite all her friends and family.....check
be totally excited......CHECK!!!

What a wonderful peaceful morning! We got all the food ready. Got the finishing touches done to her dress. Played a little with cousins. And headed out the door with DAD!

The baptism was so Awesome! All her practicing with her dad paid off!! She only had to go under once and she even got warm water!! She learned about baptism and not turning herself blue with sin from mom . She got a charm bracelet from grama and learned about the Holy Ghost feeling the comfort of the blanket grama brought. (good thing...because she was freezing.)

Even though you had a lot of family not be able to make it. There were still lots of people there who love you. Your school teacher Mrs. MacFarlane came. You loved that!! I think that made your day!

Your two BFF's were there!! Brooklyn and Carsyn! (and their Awesome moms)
Sekoya and Katera were there. And Sara and Trace came too!

Here is everyone who loves you! Including DAD taking the picture.

This is your awesome Baptism book that Auntie put together for you!! You got to write your testimony in it and how you felt today. You said...

warm, happy, clean, sick, cold.

Today I was so excited for my baptism that I couldn't sleep. I was sick though. I had 102 temperature. When I got baptized the date was 2-5-11. Who baptized me was my dad and guess what I sewed my own baptism dress. I had the best day today. But I got forced to do Thank you cards to everyone. It was the best today. Thank you for everything mom and dad. And thank you for baptizing me dad. You guys are the best.

Alexis Kay Lynam

I think it was the best today too!

Here are the cute little cards you were forced to do!! I think they are pretty darn cute myself.

After....we came back home and had yummy food! I had the house all decked out in your favorite color and made a #8 bouquet with sugar cookies! After lunch you were playing with your cousins and friends and you dame up to me and said. "Would it be rude not to play with my friends? Cuz I don't feel good and I want to lay down." I asked her how she didn't feel good and she said,"I didn't want to tell you this because I didn't want to ruin the day....but I haven't felt good all day!" I took her temperature and it was 102! No wonder she was freezing when she got out of the font. I was sure glad grama brought that blanket to keep you warm. I felt so bad for you...but it was so sweet you waited because you thought it would spoil everything.

Lexi~~~

I am so proud of you !! You are such a special girl with a bright future ahead of you. Remember to always choose the right and keep smiling!!

Love mom

Lexi~~~

I am so glad that heaven sent you to us!! I love you so much!
