Halloween Fun!!!

For the first time ever we spent Halloween at my mom's house!! It was so fun to be with our cousins trick or treating. We first went to a trunk or treat & carnival at my sister's ward. It ended up being inside because it was raining too hard. Not a good sign!! The kids had a blast!
We went back to my mom's to eat but the weather cleared up and we decided to get on with the trick or treating. We went to the NORTH side is what Shelby called it. Meaning an area with big houses which she had in her mind would give out much better candy!! No such luck! Just the same candy!! But they did get a ton!! About 10 lbs all together!! We will be visiting the dentist soon I'm afraid. I usually like my girls to dress alike in a theme. So we were going to be hippies, but the girls wore me down and I let them pick what they wanted.

Karli's costume fit her to a tee!! Little Miss Behaved jailbird!! She had a blast trick or treating!! She was a little slower than all the other girls and especially when she decided her bucket was too heavy. She just left it in the middle of the road!

The best part of the night was being able to trick or treat at grama's house!! And of course grama had a special treat for them.

Shelby and Lexi decided they wanted to be scary this year. I loved both of their costumes...a groovy skeleton and the bride of darkness!! They looked great! There was so much paint on Lexi's face that by the end of the night her eyes were as red as the blood we tried to create on her face. She could barely open them. Needless to say we got the paint off ASAP! She also got to see what it would be like to have black hair. By the end of the night...she was begging grama to color her hair black permanently.

Makena was of course all in pink as bat girl. Her favorite part of Halloween is opening the door for the trick or treaters. Looking at the loot, swapping with cousins and sisters, and being as happy as a little girl could be!!!!
