Mom is Cancer FREE!!!!

My mom is cancer free!!! She was diagnosed with colon cancer about 3 weeks ago. She had surgery on Monday, June 29th and they removed 10 inches of her colon. The surgery really did her in.....I don't think she was expecting it to be as bad as it was. But the great thing is they got all of it!!!!! The cancer had not gone into her colon wall and they tested the lymph nodes and they came back negative for cancer!!! Yea!!!!! Her short little battle my be over!! They will see the oncologist in about 2 weeks and he may suggest that she do one round of chemo because she is so young... Which will be really hard on her, but we are all grateful that everything has turned out so good. She was in the hospital for almost a week!! She got to come home tonight and was very grateful to be home. Now the trick will be to keep her down!!!
